• Memory palace configurations

• Crash reports and performance data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our memory learning services
• Sync your data across devices
• Generate AI-powered memory stories and icons
• Send review reminders and notifications (with your consent)
• Process subscription payments
• Respond to support requests
• Analyze usage to improve the app

3. AI Processing

Nemma uses artificial intelligence to generate memory stories and icons. Your keywords and content may be sent to third-party AI services (such as Replicate) for processing. This data is:

• Used only for generating your requested content
• Not stored by AI providers beyond the processing request
• Not used to train AI models

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using:

• Local Storage: Data is stored on your device for offline access
• Cloud Storage: Data is synced to Supabase (hosted on AWS) for backup and cross-device access
• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate our services (payment processors, cloud hosting, AI services)

7. How to Delete Your Data

You can request deletion of your data without deleting your account. Here's how:

Step 1: Send an email to privacy@nemma.app

Step 2: Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"

Step 3: Include the email address associated with your Nemma account

Step 4: Specify what you want deleted (see options below)

Data that can be deleted:

• Projects and hierarchies
• Keywords and memory stories
• Memory palace configurations
• Review session history
• Generated icons associated with your content

Data that is retained:

• Account information (email, name) - unless you request full account deletion
• Anonymized usage statistics (cannot be linked back to you)
• Purchase/subscription history (required for payment records)

Processing time: Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days. Backups containing your data are purged within 90 days.

To delete your entire account and all associated data, include "Full Account Deletion" in your request.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion:

• Your personal data is deleted within 30 days
• Anonymized usage statistics may be retained
• Backups are purged within 90 days

9. Children's Privacy

Nemma is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of Nemma after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
